At The Double For PGA National Turkey As Golf Business Booms

4.20pm 7th September 2018 - Travel

PGA National Turkey Antalya Golf Club’s reputation as one of Europe’s most popular golf resorts continues to soar, with the total number of rounds played at the five-star venue predicted to almost double in 2018.

Latest figures for the year released by the resort revealed that final green-fee numbers are set to rise by an amazing 93 per cent to 62,000 rounds this year, 30,000 more than were booked at the venue the previous 12 months.

Kempinski Hotel The Dome

The first golf resort in Turkey to feature 36 holes, PGA National Turkey has proved particularly popular with players from the UK, Germany and Scandinavia (are there any other markets I can include), and played a key role in helping to re-establish itself among Europe’s leading destinations for travelling golfers.

Michael Jones, director of golf at PGA National Turkey Antalya Golf Club, said: “With the outstanding facilities that we have to offer, including two world-class golf courses, there are few golf resorts in Europe that can match the outstanding facilities that we offer our guests.

“It’s been an incredible year for the resort on the golfing front. I’ve lost count of the number of golfers from all over Europe who have contacted me to praise our golf courses, set up and the service provided at PGA National Turkey, and that is going to get even better as the resort continues investing for the future.”

Situated 25 minutes from Antalya, PGA National Turkey Antalya Golf Club’s extensive facilities include two 18-hole golf courses – the PGA Sultan and The Pasha – as well as two hotels, the 176-room luxury five-star Kempinski Hotel The Dome and the five-star, 442-room, Sirene Belek Hotel.

Complementing the layouts are excellent practice facilities including a 300-metre driving range and academy, while the resort recently joined a select group of courses to receive the official endorsement of The Professional Golfers’ Association, being renamed as PGA National Turkey.

Away from the fairways, hotel guests can enjoy access to numerous other sports and leisure facilities including tennis, football, various watersports, kids’ clubs, fabulous pier and two luxury spas, while the resort also offers an array of opulent culinary experiences at a variety of bars and restaurants.
