Troon Golf has announced the official opening of the exclusive Agalarov Golf and Country Club on the Agalarov Estate, the most luxurious residential real estate development in Russia. The day started with a golf clinic by Wayne Player, son of golfing great Gary Player, followed by an official ribbon cutting ceremony with owner and visionary, Aras Agalarov, on the first tee of the course situated less than an hour drive from Moscow.
A field of 96 players competed on the new 7,100-yard, Cal Olsen designed course, while non-golfers enjoyed tennis, soccer, bowling and spa treatments by Thai masseuses from the Sabun Nga Spa – highlighting the multitude of diverse amenities at the Troon Golf managed Estate. Mr. Player challenged golfers on the challenging par-3 fifteenth hole during the tournament and entertained the guests with stories of professional golfers both past and present.
Following play on the scenic parkland golf course, the evening entertainment culminated with an awards presentation at the luxurious Beach Club, as 300 guests enjoyed live music, drinks created by the Nobu cocktail team and a fabulous dinner.
