Record-breaking Ryder Cup heroes Tommy Fleetwood and Francesco Molinari are set to reunite after seven days apart, when they both play this week’s Sky Sports British Masters. The close friends, now nicknamed ‘Moliwood’, formed a deadly partnership at Le Golf National, setting the tournament alight with exceptional displays against some of the USA’s most formidable players, beating the likes of Tiger Woods, Patrick Reed, Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth.

So good was the duo’s chemistry that they became the first European pairing to win four points from four consecutive Ryder Cup matches, and just the second pairing in the history of The Ryder Cup to achieve this feat after America’s Larry Nelson and Lanny Wadkins, who won four from four in 1979.

Both individuals entered the history books in their own right too, with Molinari becoming the first European – and just the fourth player ever – to win five matches out of five, while Fleetwood equalled the record set by Thomas Pieters in 2016 with his four victories, making them the joint most successful European rookies.

Tickets to see the dynamic duo, and many more European Tour stars, take on the famous Walton Heath lay-out can be found here.

Speaking at last week’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, Fleetwood said of their Ryder Cup partnership: “It was great for us to have that contribution for the team. We were just part of that whole environment and that whole team. I think from Friday morning when we were at our most nervous, to have that contribution which kind of sparked a bit of momentum I think was very important.

“The bromance has come alive and it’s been a big talking point. It’s great. I think our friendship should get noticed and it’s nice to be appreciated in that way, but just to have our contribution to the team I think was the most important thing for us and I was very happy for Fran to get that winning shot, which he deserved – and five out of five – making that bit of history for himself. Honestly, he didn’t care one bit whether he got zero points or five points as long as the team won, and that’s just the way he is.”

‘Moliwood’ will also be reunited with their 2018 Ryder Cup team mates Thorbjørn Olesen and Justin Rose – this year’s tournament host – at Walton Heath Golf Club.

Also in the field are European Captain Thomas Bjørn and his five Vice Captains: Graeme McDowell, Luke Donald, Robert Karlsson, Lee Westwood and Padraig Harrington.

The tournament will take place from October 11-14 and tickets, which start at £18, can be found here. Entrance for U16s to the event is free.
