Promising English golfer Jack Dyer has signed with White Rose Sports Management ahead of his professional debut at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship later this week.

White Rose, an agency co-founded in 2015 by Liverpool midfielder James Milner, will manage Dyer’s on and off course interests as he begins his professional career.

Dyer, 22, hails from Leigh-on-Sea in Essex and attended Southend High School, who he led to a National Championship in 2012. He moved to the United States in 2016 to attend Keiser University in Florida before graduating to California State University Fullerton in 2018 to represent the ‘Titans’ at collegiate level.

Representing Boyce Hill Golf Club in Essex, Dyer has enjoyed an excellent run of form in the last 18 months. In 2020, he posted course record scores at both the English Men’s Amateur Championship at Woodhall Spa and the Brabazon Trophy at Sherwood Forest.

Earlier this year, Dyer travelled to South Africa claiming victory in the South African Amateur Championship Stroke Play event to progress to the match play stages where he lost in a 36-hole final.

In May, Dyer’s rich vein of form was rewarded with a call-up to the GB&I Walker Cup team, where he competed alongside fellow White Rose player Ben Schmidt. Dyer then registered a third place finish in The Amateur Championship, and his hot streak continued with a fifth place finish in the English Men’s Amateur Championship in July.

Commenting on his decision to join White Rose Sports Management, Dyer said: “I’ve loved every minute of my amateur career, but I’ve reached a stage where I’m ready to take the next step and test myself against the best players in Europe and around the world. I’m really excited to be joining White Rose Sports Management. The pedigree and experience of James and Adam, plus the expertise that Dr Stephen McGregor and the wider team provide, fills me with huge confidence as I look to build a successful career in the sport.

“The hard work starts here but I have the perfect team around me who have ‘been there and done it’ at the highest levels of professional sport and worked with the best players in the game. I can’t wait to get my pro career started at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship”, Dyer added.

White Rose Sports Management was established in 2015 by James Milner, himself an avid golfer with a 7.4 handicap. Milner, who made his Premier League debut as a 16-year-old, has won every major trophy at club level with Liverpool and Manchester City and amassed 61 senior England caps to go with a record 46 appearances at under-21 level.

The agency has a dedicated team of experts with extensive experience, knowledge and exposure to what it takes to maintain a successful career in sport, and specifically golf. This includes Dr. Stephen McGregor who has previously worked with two former world number ones in Rory McIlroy and Lee Westwood, plus a host of professional sports teams, including Manchester City, Leeds United, Aston Villa and the New York Knicks.

In addition to Milner and McGregor’s vast experience in elite sport, in 2020 Adam Lallana became a Director at White Rose. A keen golfer, Lallana – who now plays for Brighton & Hove Albion – made his professional debut at Southampton as an 18-year-old. He joined Liverpool in 2014 and went on to win the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup during a successful six-year stay on Merseyside.

Discussing the arrival of Dyer, McGregor said: “White Rose are committed to working with talented young players to help them maximise their potential. We are thrilled that Jack has chosen to join our team and we look forward to providing him with the environment and expertise that enables him to make the most of his undoubted potential.

“It’s been a significant year for White Rose with the addition of Jack and Ben Schmidt to our roster and the continued development and success of our players. We have ambitions to work with more young players who share our philosophy, which is rooted in performance, attitude and application and a belief that all talented athletes can achieve and maintain success with the right mindset.”

Dyer joins a roster at White Rose that includes American Johannes Veerman, who won his first European Tour title at last month’s D+D Real Czech Masters; record-breaking British amateur and former Walker Cup teammate of Dyer, Ben Schimdt; Spaniard Pep Angles, who graduated to the European Tour via the Challenge Tour in 2016; Italy’s Stefano Mazzoli, a two-time winner on The Alps TOUR; and Liverpool-born PGA EuroPro Tour player, Oliver Clarke.
