Wasserman has announced the signing of American golfer Julian Suri, who is the latest addition to Wasserman’s growing European roster.
Suri, fresh off his maiden European Tour victory in the Made in Denmark Open, has had a hugely successful start to his golfing career since moving to Europe in 2017 as he managed his schedule with a mix of European Tour and Challenge Tour appearances.
A 2nd place finish in the Open de Portugal at Morgado golf resort in early May was followed by a Challenge Tour win at the Czech Challenge later that month. Suri also had consecutive strong showings in both The Lyonness open in Austria and Porsche European open in Germany on the European Tour.
“My experience in Europe has been amazing so far and it is special to witness the genuine love that the golf spectators had in Denmark last week,” said Suri. “Joining Wasserman is a natural fit for me as they have experience in dealing with the best players in the world and helping to chart their journeys on and off the course.”
“Julian is a special individual and a fantastic competitor,” said Jamie Farrell, Senior Director of Golf at Wasserman, who will manage Suri. “He has a perfect mix of fun,
humility and confidence that all the greats have and we at Wasserman have full belief that he is going to make some big noises in the world of golf in the coming years. I feel
grateful that we are his chosen partners to help him along that journey.”
“Building out our European practice has been an ongoing goal for us and aligns with our overall global growth strategy,” added John Mascatello, Executive Vice President & Managing Executive, Golf. “Wasserman has continued to single out and sign talented golfers with international appeal and we are excited to add Suri to this list which also includes Rickie Fowler, Jason Day and Zach Johnson to name just a few.”
