Details – Hospitality, Sports, Leisure – Portugal’s largest golf course management company – will have the honour of launching this year’s MENA Golf Tour after Tróia Resort and PGA Aroeira were revealed as the opening two venues of the new season.

The two resorts near Lisbon, part of Details’ portfolio of 12 golf courses, will launch a new ‘Portuguese Swing’ that is part of a revamped MENA Tour schedule that will also include tournaments in Egypt, Morocco and Jordan before the season reaches its finale in the Middle East.

The 2025 schedule will begin with two new qualifying schools played over 36 holes, Q Series 1 and 2, which will be held at Tróia between November 18-22. Q Series 1 will take place on the resort’s renowned Robert Trent Jones Jnr-designed course from November 18-19, with Q Series 2 being played from November 21-22 and featuring a prize fund of $50,000.

PGA Aroeira Lisboa will stage the second event on the MENA Tour’s new Portugal Swing

The action will then switch to PGA Aroeira Lisboa, one of the most iconic names in Portuguese golf, for a 54-hole tournament from November 25-27. Featuring a maximum field of 102 players, professionals will compete for a prize fund of $100,000 on the resort’s acclaimed PGA Aroeira No.1 layout, which has hosted an array of high-profile tournaments including the Portuguese Open in 1996 and 1997.
