TaylorMade Golf has announced the signing of Ryder Cup star Tommy Fleetwood to its tour staff.
The news of the deal was broken on TaylorMade’s Twitter feed, with the company posting a light-hearted video showing TaylorMade’s senior tour technician, Wade Liles, stocking the tour van with hair-care products for Fleetwood’s famously long locks.
Fleetwood, who was signed to Nike Golf’s staff until the company left the hard goods business in 2016, has been playing TaylorMade irons since 2019, first playing the P7TW model, and more recently the prototype TF Proto irons.
Nearly all of TaylorMade’s tour staff plays 14 TaylorMade clubs, although it is not yet been revealed what woods, wedges and putter Fleetwood will be playing next season.
Fleetwood is currently 17th in the Official World Golf Ranking. He finished fourth in the Race to Dubai and 92nd in the PGA Tour’s FedExCup.
