TaylorMade-adidas Golf teams with Kuoni

TaylorMade-adidas Golf will help leading travel group Kuoni mark the centenary of its establishment by organising the greatest-ever amateur golf tournament. The “Kuoni Golf Challenge” will be held on the world’s finest and most exclusive golf courses from mid-2006 onwards with participants being assured of the same kind of tournament atmosphere that the professionals enjoy. The winners of each individual tournament will go forward to the final in Dubai in October 2007, where the overall victor will win a round of golf with TaylorMade-adidas Golf’s Tour Professional and
World Number 3, Retief Goosen.
In total twenty-two tournaments will take place on five continents with the list of venues including:

The Brabazon Course at The De Vere Belfry (England)
The Old Course at St. Andrews (Scotland)
The Championship Golf Course at the Valderrama Golf Club in Malaga (Spain)
The Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, California (USA) and
The Canyon Course at the Blue Canyon Country Club in Phuket (Thailand).

In addition to the five legendary courses above the other 17 tournaments will take place in Switzerland, Germany, Ireland, Sardinia (Italy), China, Portugal,
Mauritius, Mexico, Hawaii (USA), Jamaica, Florida (USA), the United Arab Emirates, Arizona (USA), Australia, South Africa, Morocco and France.
Each tournament will have a maximum field of 72 players with entry strictly limited to non-professionals with a handicap limit of 32 for women and 24 for men.
For the players’ non-golfing companions, Kuoni will be organising attractive alternative programmes to accompany each tournament. All the golf packages available can also be combined with further Kuoni travel products before or after the event.
