Spanish tour professional Carl Suneson has won the 2025 Farmfoods British Par 3 Championships’ Pro-Am held at Nailcote Hall in Warwickshire.
The competition, now in its 92nd year, took place over two rounds, with the field including a long cast list of pros old and young, including Ian Woosnam, Paul Lawrie, Michael Campbell, Peter Baker, Philip Price, and Costantino Rocca, with the event hosted by two-time major champion and former Ryder Cup captain Tony Jacklin (pictured below).
Following the final day’s play on Thursday, Suneson said: “Fantastic, really happy. It’s a tough tournament. It was a blustery day, which made it very difficult to judge the yardages, but it was great fun. It’s a great tournament, and I really enjoyed it. It really tests your short game around here. I’ve played in this event for the last five years, so I know where to hit it and, more importantly, where not to go, as that helps you avoid the big numbers.”

Suneson was in second place after the opening round on five under par, with Ashley Mansell, James Ruth, Simon Griffiths and Stephen Dodd all tied on six under, but the 58-year-old Spaniard, who plies his trade on the Legends Tour, fought back on Thursday to take the title and the €50,000 first prize.
“It’s a great payday, but honestly, I just love playing this game. That’s why I do it,” said the winner.
Today [Friday] sees Nailcote Hall host the Celeb-Am tournament which sees renowned figures from the worlds of TV and sport come together for two days of golfing action.
