Srixon/Cleveland celebrates Brooks Koepka’s PGA triumph

11.05am 22nd May 2023 - Sponsorship & Events

Srixon/Cleveland Golf is celebrating Brooks Koepka’s victory in the PGA Championship at Oak Hill, after the 33-year-old American used 11 of the company’s clubs and its golf ball en route to his securing his fifth major championship.

Koepka, who signed with Srixon/Cleveland Golf in 2021, used a Srixon driver and irons, Cleveland wedges and Srixon’s Z-STAR DIAMOND ball to win his third Wanamaker Trophy.

It was a dominant performance from the Floridian, who rose to the top after a third round 66 and fended off the field at the demanding Oak Hill course with a final round 67 on Sunday to win the championship by two strokes. Koepka becomes only the third player in the stroke play era to have won three or more PGA Championships.

“This is incredible. I look back at where we were two years ago, I’m just so happy right now, I’m at a loss for words,” said Koepka, whose career was threatened to be derailed by a knee injury in 2020 and 2021. “I don’t have a list of guys who’ve won five times, but to be with those groups of names is absolutely incredible, and something I couldn’t dream of as a kid – this is the coolest thing.”

Koepka ranked second in Strokes Gained Tee to Green and first overall in SG: Total, using a majority of Srixon and Cleveland Golf products.

Koepka’s Srixon/Cleveland Golf gear:

·       Srixon ZX5 LS Mk II 10.5° Driver

·       Srixon ZX7 Mk II Irons (4-9)

·       Cleveland Golf RTX ZipCore 46° wedge

·       Cleveland Golf RTX 6 ZipCore Tour Rack wedge (52°, 56°, 60°)

·       Srixon Z-STAR DIAMOND golf ball

Brooks Koepka averaged 318 yards off the tee at Oak Hill using Srixon’s ZX5 MkII driver
