The Senior PGA Professional Championship is set to ride on the crest of wave after securing a three-year sponsorship deal with luxury cruise operator Silversea.

The company is due to expand its fleet to nine iconic cruise ships, which sail to more than 800 destinations on all seven continents including Sydney, Cape Town, the Galapagos Islands, Antarctica, the Caribbean and Mediterranean seas.
In addition to headline sponsorship of the Senior PGA Professional Championship, which tees off at Foxhills on 11-13 May, Silversea will also join the PGA’s Official Supplier programme.

The tournament will return to Foxhills for the third successive year, where a field of close on 200 players will compete over the highly-rated Longcross and Bernard Hunt courses for the Bernard Hunt Trophy, named in honour of the former PGA Captain and Ryder Cup star, and a share of the increased £40,000 prize fund.
Scotland’s Fraser Mann (Carnoustie Golf Links) returns to Surrey as the defending champion. Among the players looking to capture the title are former European Senior Tour winners George Ryall (Players Club) and Kevin Spurgeon. Also teeing up are a clutch of former PGA Cup players including Gary Brown (Ganton) and tournament debutant Jeremy Robinson. Senior Tour card winner Brendan McGovern (Headfort) will also be in action.
Past winners of the championship, which was first competed for in 1995, include two-time Ryder Cup player Tommy Horton and European Senior Tour Order of Merit winner Paul Wesselingh.
