Scottie Scheffler surged clear of a crowded leaderboard at Augusta National on Sunday to capture his second green jacket in spectacular style at the 88th Masters Tournament.

The 27-year-old American made six birdies between the 8th and 16th holes in the final round to take a commanding lead and win by four strokes with a final score of 277 (66-72-71-68).

One of many crucial shots in the final round came on the 9th hole, where, following a 358-yard drive, Scheffler put his approach to inches to stretch his lead with a tap-in birdie.

On the iconic par-3 12th hole, Scheffler hit his 9-iron safely into the centre of the green to make a two-putt par and then went on a run of three birdies in four holes to lead by four heading to the 17th tee. He finished the round with regulation pars on the final to holes to secure the wide-margin win.

Scheffler’s career cumulative score at Augusta is now 32-under-par and continues a streak which has yet to see the world no.1 shoot an over-par round in an official tournament since August last year.

The win also marked Scheffler’s third of 2024 with his TaylorMade Qi10 driver and Qi10 3-wood, TaylorMade P·7TW irons, and TaylorMade Spider Tour X putter.
