PGA Professionals will get the chance to benefit financially as a result of the Association extending Club Car’s status as a PGA Partner for the next four years.
Club Car, the world’s largest manufacturer of electric vehicles, began its partnership with The PGA 14 years ago.
It has subsequently supplied fleets to many of the UK’s most prestigious resorts, including ones that have PGA National Academies – The Belfry, Gleneagles and Close House.
Now the official supplier to The European Tour is planning to use the new agreement to form closer ties with individual PGA pros by offering them the chance to lease a vehicle at a weekly rate.
With no capital outlay, the competitive leasing rates are designed to provide pros with the opportunity to increase revenue streams with only a small fleet of vehicles.
Commenting on the continuation of its PGA Partner status, Marco Natale, vice president of EMEA at Club Car, said: “We are extremely happy and proud to renew our partnership with The PGA. This is a great privilege that confirms the leading role Club Car plays in supporting both the golf industry and PGA pros. This new agreement will help to forge even closer ties with them for many years to come.”
Sandy Jones, PGA chief executive added: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with Club Car. The extension means our association with Club Car will have lasted for close on 20 years when the agreement comes up for renewal again.
“This long association is testament to how well the partnership has worked and I’m delighted our individual members will be able to benefit from it over the next four years.”
