Mel Reid to debut custom G/FORE shoes at Solheim Cup

11.12am 3rd September 2021 - Sponsorship & Events

Golf footwear brand G/FORE has announced that Ladies European Tour star Mel Reid will be wearing two new pairs of its custom golf shoes at this week’s Solheim Cup matches in Ohio, which takes place from September 4-6.

The first style that Reid will be wearing is a custom version of G/FORE’s Kiltie Disruptor, featuring a black exterior with a removable kiltie fringe panel and decorative pinking details. The second is G/FORE’s Perf Disruptor, a best-selling style with fashionable perforations throughout.

Custom designed by G/FORE’s team of footwear experts, both shoes feature European-inspired blue-and-gold stripe details painted by Nomad Customs.

As part of G/FORE’s larger Disruptor line, the shoes have a waterproof, full-grain leather upper with a bespoke cleat design for optimal on-course traction. The interior of the shoes are lined with antimicrobial mesh for odor control and breathability, while a washable, premium triple density foam cushion footbed gently massages your feet, leaving them refreshed and supported.

G/FORE President Nicole Castrogiovanni said: “We are excited that Mel will be representing European once again in G/FORE shoes. We had fun designing these custom styles for her and we wish her luck in what will be her fourth appearance for the European Solheim Cup team.”

While the custom styles are not available to buy, golfers can shop the full Disruptor line of golf shoes online at gfore.com, gfore.co.uk and at pro shops and golf retailers in more than 35 countries worldwide.
