Maja Stark captured her first major title and her first victory on US soil when winning the US Women’s Open at Erin Hills, Wisconsin.

The 25-year-old Swede beat America’s Nelly Korda and Japan’s Rio Takeda by two shots, firing a closing level-par 72 to finish on seven-under-par for the week.

Stark was in full control of her game throughout the week, but specifically her ball striking, where he gained 6.72 shots on the field on approach and hit three-quarters of her greens, good for fourth and T8 in the field, respectively.

Stark is a Ping staff player and used the company’s G430 MAX 10k driver, G430 Max 3-wood, G430 Hybrid (22°), Blueprint S irons (4-PW), S159 wedges (50°, 54°) and a PING Anser 2 Putter to record the victory.

Stark, who turned pro in 2021, already has nine professional tour wins to her name, including six Ladies European Tour titles.
