Lynx Golf has continued its commitment to support golf at all levels of the game by agreeing a sponsorship with European Senior Tour player, Paul Eales.
The 50-year-old will play the company’s new Boom Boom irons and has also been testing the brand’s superb Tour wedges as he embarks on his second year on the leading seniors circuit.
Eales is one of the most erudite players in the country, being a Board Member of the PGA European Tour and a regular TV and radio golf analyst with European Tour Productions and BBC Five Live.
His standing within the sport, his knowledge of the game and his passion for it were key components in Lynx agreeing a three-year endorsement.
Said Lynx Golf UK managing partner, Stephanie Zinser: “We were incredibly impressed by Paul when we met him. He’s an intelligent person, well-respected by his peers in the game and with a fantastic knack of communicating his passion for golf through his media work.
“He will be a great ambassador for us on the Senior Tour and we are delighted to have him on board as part of Team Lynx.”
Eales joins two-time Major champion, Tony Jacklin, and rising LET star Lydia Hall as Lynx’s other key professional ambassadors.
Born in Epping, Essex, Eales was the assistant professional to Eddie Birchenough at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club, where he first became an assistant in 1987.
Last year on the European Senior Tour he notched up four top 10 finishes and he is looking to become only the third man ever to record victories on the Challenge Tour, main European Tour and Senior Tour, having won the Audi Open in 1991 and Extremadura Open in 1994.
He is also one of the country’s most innovative golf coaches and works with England Golf as Support Coach of the National u18sEngland Boys squad and Lead Coach of the North-west Region u18s squad.
Lynx Golf continues to establish itself as the most forward-thinking and exciting equipment brand in Europe and is dedicated to supporting ‘green grass’ Pro shop business, with more than 400 accounts in the UK.
