London Pride: Official Beer of the London Senior Masters

Fuller’s flagship ale furthers its support for golf in the UK.

Fuller’s London Pride, the UK’s leading premium cask ale, is the official beer of the London Senior Masters golf tournament to be held at the London Golf Club from 22nd to 24th June, 2007. Highlights of the tournament will be shown on Sky TV.

The agreement is the latest in a series of golf-related link ups for London Pride, which is the official beer of the English Golf Union and the London Golf Show, and is the title sponsor of The Publican Pub Golf Tournament.

The London Senior Masters is one of the leading events of the golfing calendar and players including Sam Torrance, Bernard Gallacher and Eamonn Darcy are expected to play at the tournament. The London Golf Club is a Jack Nicklaus signature course in the heart of the North Downs, at Ash in Kent.

As part of the sponsorship package, London Pride will be available to spectators and visible through extensive on-course branding. In addition, Fuller’s will be running a promotion across its free trade golf customers allowing golfers to get a free ticket to the event with every four pints of London Pride.

Fuller Smith & Turner P.L.C. is London’s last remaining traditional family brewer. Brands marketing manager David Spencer said, “Our involvement with golf is growing all the time and I am very pleased to add the London Senior Masters to our portfolio. It is a first class event and I’m looking forward to seeing a number of Pride drinkers among the spectators.

“Many golfers are big fans of quality cask ale, and so golf is the perfect sporting match for London Pride and there is definitely no better way to finish a round of golf – than with a round of London Pride.”
