LIV Golf and JCB, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of construction and agricultural equipment, have announced a multi-year partnership as the Saudi-backed league gears up for its return to the UK this summer.
LIV Golf UK by JCB will take place July 26-28 at JCB Golf & Country Club, host for LIV Golf’s third trip to the UK and final stop outside the United States for the 2024 season.
As one of the first professional events to be played at the spectacular JCB Golf & Country Club, LIV Golf UK by JCB will welcome the sport’s biggest stars to the Staffordshire course. Amongst the many popular players in the field, fans will have the opportunity to watch Englishman and Ryder Cup star Tyrell Hatton compete alongside Legion XIII teammate and 2023 Masters champion Jon Rahm in their first appearances with LIV Golf in the UK.
JCB CEO Graeme Macdonald said: “We are now only four months away from what promises to be a spectacular event. We are absolutely delighted to be collaborating with LIV Golf as both partner and sole host of a UK tournament in 2024 at the JCB Golf & Country Club.”
“Our newest tournament partnership exemplifies LIV Golf and JCB’s commitment to innovation and collaboration,” said Monica Fee, LIV Golf Senior Vice President and Global Head of Partnerships. “We’re proud to have one of the UK’s most impressive family-owned businesses on board to further elevate this highly anticipated event and continue the global impact LIV Golf is having on a new generation of fans around the world.”
JCB’s world-class equipment was instrumental in building the spectacular JCB Golf & Country Club, one of the most exciting new golf courses to be built in the UK over the last decade. Officially opening in 2019, the course, designed by internationally renowned Robin Hiseman of European Golf Design, is built on a 240-acre site adjacent to the JCB World Headquarters and serves as a showpiece for the engineering excellence of JCB’s machinery.
The 7,308-yard par 72 course stands shoulder to shoulder with the very best in the world. Its signature 17th hole is situated on a converted island and is a breathtaking 255-yard par 3. In addition to the golf course itself, JCB’s presence will be felt across the tournament with its machinery featured around the grounds and special activations in the fan village to be announced in the lead-up to the event.
