TaylorMade-adidas Golf has formed an exclusive partnership with HSBC Wee Wonders, the UK’s leading open golf competition for 5 to 12 year olds and will supply the event with an extensive range of equipment, apparel and golf balls, as well as lending valuable marketing and PR support.

Ben Sharpe, TaylorMade-adidas Golf managing director comments, “We’re very excited about the partnership with HSBC Wee Wonders. TaylorMade-adidas Golf and HSBC Wee Wonders share many similar values such as inclusiveness and progressive thinking, and we can think of no better way to support these values than helping thousands more young children to play and enjoy the great game of golf. TaylorMade-adidas Golf is committed to helping golfers of all ages and abilities to perform better and inspiring people to take up the game of golf.”

Alasdair Good, PGA professional and founder of Wee Wonders, added, “Four years ago we announced a major new title sponsorship with HSBC, who have gone on to become one of golf’s leading partners and enabled Wee Wonders to grow from strength to strength. The partnership with TaylorMade-adidas Golf is further illustration of the golf community’s desire to safeguard the future of the game. We look forward to working together from this year.”

A record number of entrants are expected to participate in this year’s HSBC Wee Wonders Championships, with 75 local qualifier events, 9 regional finals and a grand final in St. Andrews. In addition to the main schedule, the Championships offer unique once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Last year two separate groups of competitors met World No. 1 Tiger Woods and received a day’s coaching with Europe’s No. 1 golfer of the last decade, Colin Montgomerie.

The HSBC Wee Wonders Championships was recently nominated for a Sports Industry Award in the ‘Sport England Community Programme Award’ category.
