Lydia Ko fired a new tournament record of 28 under par to claim her first win in over two years at the LOTTE Championship on the LPGA Tour in Hawaii.

The Kiwi, who is an Ecco Golf ambassador, has made a strong start to 2021, with a run of high finishes – including second place at the ANA Inspiration – reminiscent of the form which took her to world number one.

This week, wearing ECCO BIOM G3, Ko shot four rounds in the sixties to win by seven shots in Hawaii.

“Hand on my heart, I know there were times that I wondered if I was ever going to be back in the winner’s circle. But I’m obviously grateful for everything that has happened in my career, and I believe that I’m in the position that I’m meant to be in,” said Ko.

“I knew it wasn’t going to be easy, especially around a golf course like this. The scores can be really low, and it doesn’t matter how far back you are, you can always be in it. I just continued to stick to my game plan.”

Jesper Thuen, responsible for sponsorship at ECCO GOLF, said: “This victory well and truly proves that Lydia is back at the top of the game. We are excited to see Lydia back in the winner’s circle, and we look forward to giving her our continued support as she continues to ascend to the top of the world game.”

The ECCO BIOM G3 features smooth ECCO performance leather and a waterproof GORE-TEX construction. It boasts ECCO’s BIOM NATURAL MOTION last, which combines low-to-the-ground stability with a glove-like fit that is built for natural motion.
