Hull strikes apparel deal with Malbon Golf

9.39am 15th January 2024 - Sponsorship & Events

Charley Hull will be sporting a new look on the LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour this season following the announcement that the 27-year-old Solheim Cup star has become a brand ambassador for US-based lifestyle apparel brand Malbon Golf.

Hull is the latest player to partner with Malbon, which has also signed up 2019 US Women’s Open winner Jeongeun Lee6, PGA Tour winner Jason Day and PGA Tour Champions member Jesper Parnevik. They join 2024 LPGA Tour rookie Gigi Stoll and Epson Tour member Erika Smith as ambassadors for the brand.

Speaking about the new partnership, Hull, the current world no.8, said: “I’ve been aware of what Malbon was doing in the golf space, having seen more and more people wearing it and stores opening,” said Hull. “I also saw some of the collaborations it has done, which I thought were pretty cool. I realised then that Malbon isn’t a typical golf brand, and that really appeals to me, to be something a little different. With dress codes in golf generally getting more relaxed, hopefully, we can keep introducing more fashion. I know that Malbon will be on it.”

She added: “It’s thanks to brands such as Malbon that women now have the chance to consider fashion when they get dressed for golf. I don’t think that was the case a few years ago. I think it’s also now possible to look good and be comfortable, especially on the golf course, and it’s even better that you can stay in what you’re wearing when you go out to meet friends post-golf!”

“I like to look sporty but stylish, and I like clothes that accentuate my figure,” Hull continued. “Obviously a little less sporty off the course, but I love fashion and like to look equally stylish and hopefully a little bit chic.”
