Hill Billy to sponsor Seniors Tour

12.05am 28th February 2005 - Sponsorship & Events

Hill Billy®, the leading manufacturer of powered golf trolleys in the United Kingdom for the past 11 years, has been named as an Official Sponsor to the European Seniors Tour, a three year deal further developing a partnership which has grown steadily over recent years.
The Hill Billy® Roadshows have supported many Seniors Tour events, as well as European Tour and Ladies events, in the past, and while that will continue in 2005, there will be a greater emphasis on the exciting developments on the Seniors Tour.
As well as being an integral part of the tented villages at European Seniors Tour events, Hill Billy® will also be available for the caddies of Seniors Tour players to use, and they will also used to carry the mobile scoreboards on course.
Andy Stubbs, managing director of the European Seniors Tour, said, “We are delighted to welcome Hill Billy® into the family of sponsors on the European Seniors Tour and commend them on their commitment and desire to work alongside us to help take the Tour forward.
“We have enjoyed working with Hill Billy® over the past three years and have appreciated their help both off the course and on it – this move to make them an Official Sponsor of the Tour is a sign of our continuing and strong relationship.”
From 1992 the European Seniors Tour has grown impressively and now comprises an annual schedule of more than 20 tournaments across Europe and beyond, with a total prize fund in excess of £4.5 million (€6.5 million). Included in that is the Senior British Open Championship which, in 2003, was officially recognised as a ‘Senior Major‘ and incorporated into the US Champions Tour schedule.
