The Golf Foundation has announced Caddy Comps as the Title Partner of Ride to The Open – a multi-day charity cycling challenge raising funds to help introduce more young people to golf and support their wellbeing.
The partnership builds on a growing relationship between the two organisations. Caddy Comps is already supporting the Golf Foundation through regular fundraising competitions, helping to raise funds and to raise awareness of the charity’s work, whilst reaching new golfers across the UK.
As part of the partnership, Caddy Comps will now support Ride to The Open, which sees golfers, industry professionals, and supporters take on a significant endurance challenge in the build-up to The Open, all in aid of the Golf Foundation’s national programmes for children and young people.
The bike ride starts at Wentworth Club on July 10th, celebrating the work the Golf Foundation does with both Wentworth and the DP World Tour. The ride will then travel up via The Belfry – and a special lunch at the headquarters of The PGA – and on to Royal Birkdale for the opening Sunday of The Open, where a special welcome will await.
Lewis Jones, Head of Commercial & Major Giving at the Golf Foundation, said: “Ride to The Open is about more than the physical challenge. It’s about bringing the golf community together to support young people and help them access the many benefits the game can offer. Our fantastic partner, Caddy Comps, has shown a huge commitment to supporting our work, and we’re delighted to have them on board as the partnership continues to grow.”
Jonathan Lawrence, Caddy Comps’ Founder added: “We’re proud to be supporting the Golf Foundation and Ride to The Open. The work they do to introduce young people to golf and promote wellbeing through the game aligns closely with our own values. This partnership is hugely important to us, and I’m thrilled (and mildly terrified) to be joining the ride myself.”
