Gary Woodland signs head-to-toe equipment deal with Cobra Puma Golf

8.46am 9th January 2023 - Sponsorship & Events

Cobra Golf has signed PGA Tour player Gary Woodland to a multi-year equipment contract.

Heading into the Sony Open in Hawaii, Woodland is due to play a bag full of the brand’s clubs, including its new and as yet unreleased driver, fairway woods, and irons for 2023. He will also continue his long-standing relationship with Puma Golf and wear head-to-toe Puma apparel.

“We are very pleased to welcome Gary to our Cobra Golf family,” said Dan Ladd, President and general manager of Cobra Puma Golf. “We have developed a great relationship with him in the time he has been with us on the Puma side, so we are excited to see him as a complete Cobra Puma Golf athlete. His explosive game is a perfect fit for both brands and we are honoured to begin supporting him on the equipment side.”

Woodland, 38, who turned pro in 2007, has four PGA Tour wins to his credit including the 2018 Waste Management Phoenix Open and the 2019 US Open at Pebble Beach.

“I have built a great connection with the Cobra Puma Golf team,” said Woodland, who is currently 100th in the OWGR. “I couldn’t be happier to put their equipment into my bag. Their technology and innovation are outstanding and I’m particularly excited to put the new 2023 unreleased driver in play. It’s as long and fast as anything I’ve hit and looks great at address.”

During the 2023 season, Woodland will continue to wear a selection of PUMA apparel and footwear, including items from the Volition America collection, and will alternate between PUMA and COBRA caps. The full details of Woodland’s equipment line up will be released next week following the announcement of Cobra’s new line up of clubs for 2023.
