PGA Tour player Gary Woodland has signed a multi-year deal to join Wilson Golf’s rosta of Tour Staff players.

The 34-year-old from Kansas, who is currently 31st in the world rankings, will be playing a minimum of 10 Wilson clubs this season, including the brand’s new prototype Staff Model blades and the V4 utility iron. In addition to the clubs, he is also in the process of testing the new Wilson Staff Cortex driver.

Woodland has three PGA Tour titles to his name, the most recent of which came at last February’s Waste Management Phoenix Open. He also collected four top-10 finishes in 2018, including tied sixth at the US PGA Championship.

Wilson Golf President Tim Clarke said: “As the Wilson brand continues to gain momentum in golf, we are thrilled to have a player of Gary’s stature join the team. We want players that are athletes at heart, and who want to be involved in the brand both on and off the course. We think Gary is a perfect fit for the culture of innovation and excellence we’re building at Wilson.”

Woodward said: “I’m extremely excited to be joining Wilson after working with them extensively the last few months. Their premium line of clubs and high-quality equipment will be integral as I continue to elevate my game.”

Woodland joins a staff at Wilson that already includes three-time major winner Padraig Harrington, Brendan Steele – who was instrumental in the design of the irons Woodland is playing at the moment – and Kevin Streelman.
