Fujikura enjoys strong showing at season’s final major

While Brian Harman stole the headlines at the 151st Open Championship with his impressive six-shot win, shaft brand Fujikura also enjoyed a winning week after being the most used driver and wood shaft at the season's final major.

While Brian Harman stole the headlines at the 151st Open Championship with his impressive six-shot win, shaft brand Fujikura also enjoyed a winning week after being the most used driver and wood shaft at the season’s final major.

In total, 38% of the field at Royal Liverpool used a Fujikura driver shaft, with another 35% using a Fujikura wood shaft. These figures also included the Claret Jug winner, who used the Fujikura Speeder Evolution II S in his 3-wood on his way to victory. 

Over on the PGA Tour, Fujikura also claimed the #1 driver, wood and hybrid shaft for the week. At the Barracuda Championship, 35% of the field used a Fujikura driver shaft, with another 34% in the wood shaft count and 29% in the hybrid shaft count. 

With this maiden PGA Tour victory, the winner in Nevada used the VENTUS Black 7-X in his driver shaft, along with the VENTUS Black 8-TX in his 3-wood shaft and VENTUS Black 10-X in his hybrid shaft. 

Fujikura completed the week with #1 spots on both the Korn Ferry Tour and LPGA Tour. At the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational on the LPGA Tour, Fujikura was the #1 driver shaft at the tournament, with over 31% of the field using a Fujikura driver shaft. 

At the Price Cutter Charity Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour, Fujikura was the #1 driver, wood and hybrid shaft. In total, 32% of the field used a Fujikura driver shaft, with another 30% in the wood shaft count and 37% in the hybrid shaft count.
