Generous members at Frilford Heath Golf Club have raised more than £25,000 for Homeless Oxfordshire, a charity that helps people experiencing homelessness.

Throughout the summer, Club Captains Sally Adams and Tony Weir have led a series of fundraising events including an auction, raffle, and four flagship Captains’ Day tournaments.

Sally and Tony said“Frilford Heath is a family friendly club that cares about our community. We recognise the important work Homeless Oxfordshire does in supporting those experiencing homelessness and we were delighted so many kind-hearted and generous members got behind our fundraising efforts.”

Homeless Oxfordshire is the largest provider of supported accommodation in the county, offering a lifeline to those experiencing homelessness. Through a network of safe housing, personalised support, and specialist services, the charity works to address not only immediate needs such as shelter and food, but also the underlying causes of homelessness.

Liza Clothier, Head of Fundraising and Communications at Homeless Oxfordshire, said: “We are truly grateful to Frilford Heath Golf Club and its members for this outstanding contribution. These funds will help us provide safe accommodation, vital support services, and opportunities for people experiencing homelessness to rebuild their lives. This partnership demonstrates the powerful impact that local communities can have when they come together.”
