Free environmental advice

The EGU and English Nature have teamed up to fund the service which is being administered and delivered by STRI

More details are now available about the free environmental management advice scheme launched this summer (first reported by Golf Business News.com on 6th May). Golf clubs across England will benefit. The English Golf Union and English Nature have teamed up to provide funding for the free service which is being administered and delivered by STRI, the industry’s independent advisory and research specialist. It is hoped to accommodate 200 EGU affiliated golf clubs through the scheme over an initial 3-year period. STRI have employed ecologist Lee Penrose to assist Bob Taylor, the senior ecologist, in administering the scheme, carrying out visits and providing support throughout the project.
