Foundation has new ‘friend’

8.30am 9th September 2002 - Sponsorship & Events

TaylorMade adidas Golf has signed up with the Golf Foundation to become a Friend of the Foundation. The scheme, specifically designed for the golf industry, allows companies to demonstrate a base level of commitment to the Golf Foundation in return for various exposure benefits. Some of these benefits include a presence on the Golf Foundation website, exposure at key events and branding in Golf Foundation publications and newsletters.

“By becoming a ‘Friend of the Foundation’ TaylorMade adidas Golf is demonstrating its corporate social responsibility to the game of golf as well as its commitment to the Golf Foundation,” commented Michael Newland, UK and Ireland marketing manager for TMaG. “The work the Foundation is doing at the grass roots of the game is fundamental to the future of the sport and we want to support the Foundation as much as we can.”

James Handford, the Golf Foundation’s marketing manager, commented: “We hope that other companies will share TaylorMade adidas Golf’s vision and join us as Friends of the Foundation. We feel the scheme offers reciprocal benefits and is a good return on investment.”

TaylorMade adidas Golf joins Ping and Titleist as Friends of the Foundation.
