The Farmfoods European Senior Masters, one of the highlights of the Legends Tour schedule, is moving to La Manga in Spain in 2022, following a five-year stay at the Marriott Foresst of Arden in Warwickshire.
This tournament, which was inaugurated in 2017, and was held four times at the Forest of Arden, will be staged at the popular Murcia-based resort between October 13-16, when some of the most famous names in the game are expected to compete over the venue’s South Course.
Peter Baker, Ryder Cup star and three-time winner on the European Tour, will return to host the tournament, which will see legends such as Ian Woosnam, Paul Lawrie, Michael Campbell, Thomas Bjorn, Barry Lane, Peter Fowler and reigning European Senior Masters’ champion Marcus Brier in action.
Farmfoods is returning as the championship’s headline sponsor and leading brand agency Champions (UK) plc is back as the official event organiser.
This year also marks the 50th anniversary of La Manga Club, with the European Senior Masters being among a number of events taking place to celebrate half a century of golfing excellence at the award-winning venue.
