The English Golf Union (EGU) has announced that Oscar Jacobson will become their official supplier of off course clothing for the England team from 1st January 2011.
The new two year arrangement extends the existing three year relationship the two companies have had since 2008. The agreement means that all England teams, boys, mens and seniors, as well as individual players representing England will wear dress trousers and blazers from the Oscar Jacobson Collection.
The agreement also ensures that Oscar Jacobson will continue to supply blazers and trousers for EGU staff and officials for the next two years.
Following the 2012 season Oscar Jacobson have the option to continue their partnership with the EGU for subsequent years.
The decision to work with the EGU in 2008 was a first for the Swedish company, who had not previously worked with any of the Home Union governing bodies of amateur golf. But it followed in the footsteps of their existing long term relationships with the professional game including the Ryder Cup, Walker Cup and PGA Cup teams.
The new agreement also provides benefits to all the EGU’s County Unions offering them the opportunity to obtain generous discounts on Oscar Jacobson clothing for their county players and representatives.

Since the initial agreement was signed Oscar Jacobson has extended their visibility on the European Tour and have added past England team member and Walker Cup player Danny Willett to their stable of professional golfers, continuing the relationship established when Danny was a member of England’s Elite Squad and benefited from the manufacturer’s support in the amateur ranks.
