British heritage brand, Wolsey, has announced that Eddie Pepperell has joined its team of pioneers to represent the brand on the PGA European Tour, where he is off to a flying start, bagging fourth place at last week’s Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.
Pepperell, 23-years-old, turned professional in 2011 after an exciting amateur career that included victories at the Portuguese Amateur Championship, the Welsh Men’s Amateur Strokeplay and the Berkshire Trophy. He was also a member of three victorious Jacques Léglise Trophy teams and England’s triumph in the 2010 European Team Championships, whilst he represented his country at the prestigious Eisenhower Trophy. In 2014, Pepperell finished 49th on the Race to Dubai, which included a run of four top-five finishes in five events.
Pepperell said, “It’s amazing to have a brand as established and experienced as Wolsey supporting my career. They have shown that golfers can wear the latest fashions without having to sacrifice performance or quality.”
Louis Wolcott, Wolsey’s brand director added, “Eddie has a great future on the European Tour and has already started this season strongly with a 4th place in Qatar. In signing him we have really strengthened our team of pioneers. His personality and look fit well with the ethos of our brand and we are looking forward to seeing his progression on Tour this season.”
Pepperell joins Wolsey’s team of pioneers that includes Robert Rock and Toby Tree, and will wear apparel from the new spring/summer 2015 Sportsman collection, which is available now from wolsey.com, trendygolf.com and at selected pro shops across the UK.
