Sky Sports is to show highlights of a Clutch Pro Tour event for the first time when it broadcasts edited action from its recent Tier One event held at Slaley Hall Hotel Spa & Golf Resort in Northumberland.
The first airing of the highlights will take place on August 12 at 8pm and 10pm on Sky Sports Golf, with a further five repeats between August 13-15.
The Slaley Hall tournament was held on July 17-19, where a full field was competing for a prize fund of £100,000, with £15,000 to the winner.
It is one of 17 Tier 1 events on what the Mizuno Next Gen Series schedule in 2024. The final event of the season, the Tour Championship, is being held at Royal Norwich from September 24-26.
The Clutch Pro Tour was created in 2019 to give lower level professionals in England more playing opportunities, as well as helping progress their careers. The inaugural season took place in 2020. Following the collapse of the EuroPro Tour in 2022, the Clutch Pro Tour now offers places on the Challenge Tour to the top three players on the season’s Tier 1 rankings.
A separate series of Tier 2 professional events is also operated by the Clutch Pro Tour, along with an amateur series.
