Charles Tyrwhitt proudly announces Ryder Cup captain and former world number one Luke Donald as its latest Global Sports Ambassador and its first professional golfer. A natural fit for the brand, Donald brings the polish and high standards Charles Tyrwhitt is known for, and the partnership will see him dressed by the brand for key engagements off the course.

Across a career that has seen him hold the world number one ranking for more than 56 weeks and go unbeaten in six Ryder Cups for Europe, Donald has built a reputation for precision and remarkable consistency at the highest level. With five PGA Tour wins, eight international victories and a perfect record across four victorious Ryder Cup appearances for Europe, he remains one of the most respected figures in modern golf.

The launch shoot for Charles Tyrwhitt’s summer campaign, ‘Summer’s in Swing’, took place at the iconic The Bear’s Club in Jupiter. Rolling out this May across the UK, USA and Europe, it marks one of the brand’s biggest ambassador moments to date and sees Luke Donald front an impressive line-up including cricketers Joe Root and Stuart Broad, and New York Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe.

Charles Tyrwhitt also continues high-profile sporting partnerships with the New York Yankees, England Rugby, The British & Irish Lions and Fulham FC, and Rugby ambassadors Marcus Smith and Matt Dawson further strengthening the brand’s presence at the pinnacle of elite sport.

Luke Donald on Why He’s Joined Forces with Charles Tyrwhitt

“While I still love to compete on the golf course, I’ve had the opportunity in recent years to spend more time speaking about leadership, performance and what it takes to build a winning team. Those occasions – whether it’s a formal dinner, a corporate event, or a fireside chat – require a different kind of preparation,” said Donald.

I’ve always believed that the details matter. The same care and precision I value in my preparation is what I look for in what I wear off the course. Charles Tyrwhitt’s craftsmanship and timeless style feel aligned with that mindset – classic, assured and quietly confident.”

Joe Irons, Chief Marketing Officer of Charles Tyrwhitt commented: “We’re delighted to work with Luke. Being the winning Ryder Cup captain again at Bethpage really does make him a global sporting icon and his poise and leadership resonate deeply with our customers across the UK, Europe and USA. He’s a very natural and authentic ambassador for Charles Tyrwhitt and as a true gentleman of the game, Luke’s the ultimate embodiment of the Charles Tyrwhitt spirit. We’re thrilled to have him representing our brand.”
