British sportswear brand Castore has signed up two-time DP World Tour winner Dean Burmester to its growing team of tour ambassadors.
The 32-year-old South African is making his debut in Castore apparel at this week’s Betfred British Masters at The Belfry, where he will be wearing key pieces from the brand’s latest Spring/Summer 2022 collection, including a Panel Quarter Zip, Tota Polo shirts and Technical Golf Chinos.
Following a second place finish at The Steyn City Championship in March, Burmester, who is currently ranked 71 in the world, will be looking for another strong performance before he tees it up in the second Major of the year at the PGA Championship at Southern Hills in May.
The new partnership will showcase Castore’s latest innovation in golf performance clothing, including shirts, trousers, sweaters, waterproofs and accessories. Castore’s Spring/Summer 2022 golf apparel collection boasts a range of garments featuring advanced engineering and unique technical fabrics. The collection has been designed to optimise freedom of movement in all conditions, whilst delivering unrivalled comfort, fit and performance.
Burmester joins a growing list of Castore golfers, including Matt Fitzpatrick and Thorbjorn Olesen, as well as an impressive list of competitors from other sports, including Sir Andy Murray, Adam Peaty, Owen Farrell and Jos Buttler; while it also has partnerships with McLaren Formula 1, England Cricket, Cricket South Africa, Glasgow Rangers FC and Newcastle United FC to name a few.
Tom Beahon, co-founder of Castore, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Dean to our growing team of Castore golfers. He is a seriously talented player and has proven this with his impressive wins on both the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour. Dean will be competing in three Majors this year and we have no doubt he has Castore’s ‘Better Never Stops’ mindset to continue moving up the world ranking this year.”
Burmester said: “I’m incredibly excited to be joining Castore – they’re such an exciting, fast-moving brand with huge aspirations. The look, feel and quality of the apparel is exactly what I need to perform in each week. I can’t wait to represent Castore on and off the course.”
