Dean Cleaver, Executive Officer for FEGGA commented: “The FEGGA Conference is the Federations flagship event, and when we bring together all our National Greenkeeper Associations and Patron Members to discuss pertinent industry subjects facing Europe today.

“It’s very important for us to have the leading industry organisations as our Partners. Campey Turfcare Systems is one of our strongest Partners and share the same visions for our industry.

We are very happy that they have committed to continue their support as one of our Conference Patrons, and look forward to working together with them to help and support the needs of all Turf Professionals within our Member Countries.”

During recent years Campey Turf Care Systems has expanded its operations throughout Europe and across many other continents. The company has worked with FEGGA to spread its knowledge and experience of golf turf management to an ever increasing audience.

Managing Director Richard Campey has extended the general sponsorship for FEGGA for another year and the company was an official sponsor of the annual FEGGA 2013 conference recently held in Zurich, Switzerland.

“We are delighted to continue with support for FEGGA” said Managing Director Richard Campey, “Europe is a very important market for us. Every opportunity we have to consult and exchange information with our fellow European Turf Professionals is welcomed.”

This year’s Conference programme covered a variety of the core subjects relevant to industry issues including a case study of a course renovation.

A presentation by Campey Turf Care Export Sales Manager David Harrison on – Tackling Successful Renovation – was well received. In his talk David discussed how several maintenance and renovation techniques initially trialed in the sports field sector are now being embraced by golf courses, in particular “fraise-mowing” with the Koro Field TopMaker.

Richard McGlynn, Course Manager at Golf Course, Blumisberg in Fribourg, Switzerland was invited to join David and share his experiences. He explained the decision making process which led to implementing this technique at his golf club.

Campey Turf Care Systems would like to thank Richard for his contribution to the presentation.
