Royal Ascot Golf Club and Bush Hill Park Golf Club were among the winners at this year’s Club Awards hosted by Club Mirror Magazine.

Now in their 33rd year, all elements of club life are recognised at these annual awards, which throw a spotlight on the vital role that clubs play in their local area, with awards for community, family, diversity, catering and entertainment at a wide range of sports clubs, including rugby, cricket, football, bowls, darts and yachting, among many others.

The awards ceremony was held at Athena in Leicester on December 2, with the event hosted by sports broadcaster Ray Stubbs and Liverpool FC legend Mark Lawrenson.

Royal Ascot won the Golf Club of the Year Award in the category for clubs with a turnover of £2.5m+, with the Berkshire venue winning plaudits from the judging panel in recognition of the hard work, significant course and clubhouse improvements, and success in attracting a diverse membership through various initiatives.

Bush Hill Park Golf Club in Middlesex, a multiple past winner at the Club Awards, picked up an impressive three awards on the night, including Golf Club of the Year in the under £2.5m category – which it shared with Honiton Golf Club – the Innovative Club of the Year, and the Marketing Club of the Year in the website category.
