Brocket Hall to host Legends Tour event

Professional golf is to return to Brocket Hall this summer after the Hertfordshire venue was named as host venue for a new tournament on the Legends Tour

The English Legends will be held at Brocket Hall from August 22-24, with former Ryder Cup captains and players, Major champions and Tour winners teeing it up as part of a packed summer of British and Irish events on Europe’s over 50s men’s professional circuit.

Taking place two weeks after the flagship Staysure PGA Seniors Championship, the tournament will be hosted by two-time senior Major-winner Roger Chapman, who will be playing the final event of a stellar career that has spanned almost 50 years. He will be joined by a number of the biggest names in seniors golf, with the likes of Ian Woosnam, Michael Campbell and Paul Lawrie scheduled to play over the club’s highly rated Palmerston Course.

Chapman, who turns 66 in May, said: “It’s a great honour for me to host a Legends Tour event in my home country and is the perfect way to end a career in which I’ve achieved more than I ever thought possible. I’m very grateful to the Legends Tour for putting my name to the tournament and very much looking forward to what I’m sure will be an outstanding event at a superb venue.”

Roger Chapman, who won the US Senior Open in 2012, will be hosting the English Legends tournament. It will be his final event before retiring from professional golf

“We are very proud to be hosting the inaugural English Legends hosted by Roger Chapman later this year” said Lee Williams, General Manager of Brocket Hall Estate. “Our two iconic brands – Brocket Hall Estate and the Legends Tour – perfectly complement each other and I’m sure our Top100-ranked courses will provide a strong challenge for the players while the resort delivers world-class hospitality to all those competing and attending. The tournament will be one of the largest sporting events in Hertfordshire in 2025 and will also help us to support the growth and development of golf within our community.”

Legends Tour CEO Phil Harrison added: “We are delighted to be bringing major international golf back to England once again this summer. Brocket Hall Estate is a fabulous golfing facility that will no doubt prove a fitting stage for the English Legends. It promises to be a superb week of golf and I’d encourage people in the South-East of England to come down and enjoy a tournament format like no other.”

And at the English Legends, golf fans can do more than just spectate – with two unique opportunities to get inside the ropes and be part of the action. Whether it’s the Championship Pro-Am or the immersive multi-day VIP Legends Experience, these unforgettable experiences enable golfers to tee it up alongside iconic professional golfers in a true tournament setting.

Tickets for the event are now on sale, with an early booking promotion available. Adult tickets are £10 with under-16s receiving free entry. All ticket purchases also include a £7.50 food and drink voucher.
