AXA support three events on Seniors Tour

12.05am 20th June 2006 - Sponsorship & Events

AXA, the leading financial protection group, has strengthened its partnership with the European Seniors Tour by becoming an Associate Sponsor of three leading tournaments on the 2006 Schedule – the Wentworth Senior Masters, the European Senior Masters and the Bendinat London Seniors Masters.
This represents a tripling of AXA’s support after its successful Associate Sponsorship of last year’s European Senior Masters at Woburn, where record crowds witnessed Mark James defeat Sam Torrance in a play-off between the two former Ryder Cup Captains.
Following on from that memorable week at Woburn, AXA has decided to extend its sponsorship to the Bendinat London Seniors Masters at The London Golf Club from June 29-July 1, the Wentworth Senior Masters at Wentworth Club from August 4-6 and the European Senior Masters, which returns to Woburn for a sixth time from September 8-10.
AXA UK’s sponsorship manager, Philippa Tate said, “This is a fantastic series of events for AXA to be involved with. We are delighted to be able to continue our sponsorship throughout 2006 and be linked to such prestigious tournaments.”
Andy Stubbs, managing director of the European Seniors Tour, said, “AXA, like the European Seniors Tour, has a strong and long standing history and we are delighted to strengthen our relationship. Their support, and that of our other sponsors, will ensure that these three events remain at the forefront of the European Seniors Tour Schedule.”
