Abacus Sportswear, pioneers of stretch waterproof fabrics and Official Licensee of The 2014 Ryder Cup, has signed an apparel agreement with Swedish European Tour player Steven Jeppesen.
Jeppesen, who played on the Swedish Junior Tour, became a professional in 2003 at the age of 19, after gaining a European Tour card at his first Qualifying School Final.
For2014, Jeppesen is looking to take his career in a new direction with a new trainer and fresh approach to his game.
“For me, it is important to feel good on the golf course. The more comfortable you feel, the better you perform, and clothing that looks good and fits well is part of that – and is exactly what Abacus Sportswear delivers,” said Jeppesen.
“I like the brand’s ethos. The clothes are smart and stylish while maintaining the important functional aspects within the fabrics. There’s nothing like stepping onto that first tee being feeling good and knowing you look good as well – it makes you feel stronger and gives you confidence.”
He added: “I also like the fact that abacus® is a Swedish brand, from the southern region of Skane, where I come from. This makes me feel proud and right at home.”
Sven-Olof Karlsson, MD and owner of Abacus Sportswear, said: “We are pleased to welcome Steven as our newest ambassador. He embodies the abacus spirit. He is an athlete dedicated to his sport with a strong potential in golf. There is no limit to what he can achieve, and it is a privilege to have Steven as part of the abacus team.”
