2THUMB Grip has signed England’s Matt Wallace to a tour staff contract for the 2022 season.
Londoner Wallace, who is exempt on the PGA Tour until the end of this season, will be making his seasonal debut on the US circuit at this week’s Waste Management Phoenix Open, following two appearances on the DP World Tour in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Currently 95th in the world rankings, Wallace has used 2THUMB’s OG Taper Lite 43 grip during his 10 professional tournament wins. This model is based on the design of the Original 2THUMB grips specifically developed to keep shoulders aligned while reducing grip tension.
The OG TAPER LITE 43 will accommodate all of today’s gripping styles, including the claw, left hand low, prayer and conventional. Its tapered design stays true to 2Thumb’s Classic range of grips which promote even grip pressure across both hands and by doing so reducing potential wrist action.
The company showcased its full line up of putter grips at the PGA Merchandise Show last week, where it unveiled two new models, the OCTOGRIP and the PISTOL 7E.
