Old Golf Auctions Limited announces that their latest auction starts today and will have 1,150 lots. It includes some of the rarest golf books that have ever been made available to the collecting public.

Graham Rowley says, “Our golf memorabilia auction runs for three weeks. We have the finest collection of rare golf books that have ever appeared at auction at the same time.

“Previously unlisted Ladies Golf Annuals (7) edited by Miss Issette Pearson; they date from 1889 to 1909. George Robb, Historical Gossip of Golf & Golfers dated 1963. Robert Chambers A few Rambling Remarks 1865. Large Paper edition classics 35 different titled by the noted author Bernard Darwin

“Two mint conditioned Feathery golf balls from 1840. Tom Morris Long Nosed clubs. Smooth Gutty golf ball moulds (3) Early golf balls dating from 1850 onwards.

“We also have unique hand written scorecards by JH Taylor, James Braid and Alex Herd. These date from the turn of the century.”
