Safetee signs Ryder Cup licensing deal for protective headwear product

11.55am 5th September 2023 - Ryder Cup Business

Safetee, creator of the safetee X-Light head protector, has signed a new official licensing agreement with the Ryder Cup, which will see the company supply its products to volunteers and officials at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club during the 2023 event.

The safetee X-Light Protector is a lightweight insert for golf headwear that reduces the energy impact of a ball strike by up to 87%, making it a sensible choice for all golf fans attending golf events.

Winner of the Most Innovative Concept in the Inventor’s Spotlight Award at the 2020 PGA Merchandise Show, the lightweight unit fits neatly inside a golf cap or hat, and is unintrusive and comfortable to wear, being both breathable and ultra-thin.

Philipp Schneider, the creator and CEO of safetee, commented” “I developed the safetee protector after my wife was almost struck on the head by a golf ball at a tournament three years ago. I decided to see if a cap protector would make a difference as a precaution if someone was hit by a ball. After three years of developing and testing, we produced the safetee protector, which offers maximum head protection without sacrificing the look or usual comfort of wearing your favourite golf cap on the course.”

Priced at €27.95, the safetee X-Light protector can be purchased from shop.safetee-golf.com.
