Worldwide Golf Brands appoints new regional sales manager

10.02am 5th September 2024 - Retail

Worldwide Golf Brands has appointed a new area sales manager covering the Home Counties, East Anglia and parts of London for Oscar Jacobson, Stuburt, BIG MAX, MacGregor and ZOOM.

Having worked in golf since he left school, Michael Pack brings a wide range of experience, primarily from the venue side of the industry. He joins WWGB directly from the position of Head of Golf Operations at Sandford Springs Hotel & Golf Club in Hampshire, where he had responsibility for all golf retail buying and golf operations. Prior to that he has held the position of retail manager at Burhill Golf Club, and also worked at Hoebridge Golf Centre in Surrey.

“I’ve performed a variety of roles in the golf industry and the most important thing I’ve learned is that you have to build relationships and understand what customers need,” said Pack. “My experience has been on the consumer side of the industry but it has all been about getting the best out of relationships.

“I’ve also been on the receiving end of good and bad approaches from sales agents, so I appreciate different needs for different customers. I’m excited for this new challenge and with the fantastic portfolio of brands at WWGB I know I can provide any golf retailer with brands and products that are right for their business.”

Pack started with WWGB at the end of July, getting out on the road in the first week of August. With Spring ’25 pre-book and new products to show across all of the brands Pack is set for a busy time working in a territory that covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Greater London north of the Thames, and Essex.

“It’s a really exciting time for Michael to join the team,” commented Graeme Stevens, Managing Director at Worldwide Golf Brands. “We have fresh new designs for OJ and the Stuburt x LIV partnership is really starting to drive the brand forward. Across the whole portfolio there is something great to talk about and I’m excited to see the impact Michael can have in a territory where that we have room for significant growth.”
