Leading trolley brand PowaKaddy has appointed Stuart Smith as its new Area Sales Manager for Scotland and Cumbria.

Stuart, a PGA Professional of over 20 years, joins the company with a wealth of experience in the golf retail and customer service industry. He joins the company to support further growth in the region, and to enhance the excellent service that PowaKaddy provides its customers.

Stuart started his PGA journey as an Assistant Professional at Worksop Golf Club in Nottinghamshire, before moving north of the border to take his first Head Professional role in 2002 at Powfoot Golf Club. Stuart is based on the West Coast of Scotland, near Ayr, and he joins PowaKaddy from Ranfurly Castle Golf Club, where he has held the position of Head Professional for the last three years.

Speaking about his new position, Stuart said: “I’m very excited to have joined PowaKaddy, and to be given the opportunity to represent the market-leading brand is a big honour. I have been a PowaKaddy customer for a number of years, and having worked so closely with the brand I feel I have a great connection with the company and really understand the products and the value we can add to our retail partners. I can’t wait to visit my customers and see how I can help grow their PowaKaddy business.”

Graeme Wigham, UK Sales Director for PowaKaddy, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Stuart to the team. We’re always looking to strengthen and improve the service we provide to our customers, and adding Stuart’s knowledge of retail and the Scottish golf market will be a great addition to the PowaKaddy team.”

Stuart Smith is contactable at stuart.smith@powakaddy.co.uk or 07976 568353.
