Perry Ellis Europe has appointed experienced golf sales executive Ryan Bodkin as its new South East Area Sales Manager in the UK, where he will be responsible for apparel brands Callaway Apparel and Original Penguin Golf.
With over 19 years’ experience in the sporting goods industry, Ryan joins Perry Ellis Europe with immediate effect, and will be responsible for developing new business, while managing the company’s existing network of accounts in one of its key regions.
Ryan will lead the growth of Callaway Apparel and Original Penguin Golf, as Perry Ellis Europe continues the successful sell-in of its Autumn/Winter ’23 product lines, and as it prepares to reveal plans for Spring/Summer ’24.
Helen Willsmer, Brand Director at Perry Ellis Europe, said: “Ryan joins us with a strong network of green grass golf retail contacts and connections and his experience and understanding of the market will be crucial as we continue to build sales momentum across all aspects of our business.
“Perry Ellis Europe continues to invest in enhancing its sales infrastructure across the UK and Ireland – we also recently appointed a new Area Sales Manager for Northern Ireland and Eire – as we focus on building stronger, mutually profitable relationships with our retail partners, underpinned by great customer service and market-leading, highly technical, products.”
Bodkin commented: “Callaway Apparel and Original Penguin are incredible brands with strong retail plans for the remainder of 2023 and into 2024. The product lines for men, women and youths are superb, headlined by cutting-edge fabrics and design technologies, and I’m confident they will offer very strong sales opportunities for Perry Ellis’ network of accounts in South East England.”
