Motocaddy expands trolley rental fleet portfolio

2026 cart rental fleet programme is the brand’s largest yet

Motocaddy has announced that an increasing number of leading golf clubs and resorts in the UK and Ireland are choosing to stock the brand for their electric trolley rental fleets.

Prestigious venues such as Royal County Down, Gleneagles, Royal Cinque Ports and Golf At Goodwood have recently joined renowned clubs including Ballybunion, Lahinch, Royal Liverpool, Royal Troon, Royal Porthcawl, and Prestwick in offering Motocaddy trolleys to members and guests.

Since 2022, the number of golf clubs in the UK and Ireland adopting Motocaddy rental fleets has increased by 39%, with more than 700 courses now partnering with the world’s leading trolley brand.

This expanding portfolio represents the largest rental fleet programme in the company’s history, underscoring Motocaddy’s reputation for quality, reliability, and on-course performance. Golfers benefit from industry‑leading technology and user experience, while clubs and resorts enjoy complete confidence through dependable fleet management.

“We chose Motocaddy primarily for its reliability and durability in all weather conditions, which was essential given the challenges we face here,” said Anna Maria O’Mahony, General Manager of Ballybunion Golf Club. “From day one, our fleet has performed flawlessly, giving us complete peace of mind when offering them to members and guests. We would recommend Motocaddy without hesitation.”

Sam Smitherman, Head Professional at Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club, highlighted how a dependable rental fleet allows his team to focus on members and guests rather than maintenance. “Motocaddy trolleys are trusted by golfers and clubs alike, built to withstand daily use while maintaining a premium look. A reliable fleet means fewer breakdowns, less time spent on call‑outs, and ultimately a better experience for everyone. Their quality, ease of management, and strong support make them an invaluable asset.”

Steve Morris, Motocaddy UK and Ireland Sales Director, said: “It’s great to hear more and more globally renowned courses and resorts have switched from other trolley companies and are trusting Motocaddy to provide its rental fleets,” said

Motocaddy offers four models within its rental programme, headlined by the award-winning M5 GPS. Designed to deliver a premium on-course experience for clubs and resorts, the M5 GPS features high-performance GPS technology with more than 40,000 pre-loaded courses accessible through a 3.5-inch touchscreen display.

The smart GPS system provides free lifetime access to high resolution full-hole mapping with precise distances to the front, middle, and back of the green, along with essential hazard information and the ability to dynamically adjust the flag position. For players renting a trolley – especially those navigating the course for the first time – this provides invaluable insight and enhances the overall user experience throughout the round.

The high-performance Downhill Control (DHC) model is also available, offering advanced technology that enables the trolley to maintain a consistent speed when travelling downhill. In addition, it features an electronic parking brake for enhanced stability and control on uneven terrain.

The M1 and M1 DHC models are also available within the rental range. Recognised as the simplest-to-use compact trolleys in the world, they are engineered for exceptional storage efficiency – fifteen folded units occupy a footprint comparable to that of a single ride-on cart.

Featuring an LCD widescreen display, the M1 range includes nine speed settings, a battery meter, a speed indicator, and a USB charging port. Additional functionality includes Adjustable Distance Control (up to 45 yards) and Motocaddy’s revolutionary CLICK ‘N’ CONNECT cable-free battery system, which incorporates auto-disconnect technology and a convenient pop-up charging port.

Both the M1 and M5 ranges feature automotive-inspired styling, enhanced ergonomic handle grips, high-capacity ULTRA batteries, and low-profile sporty tyres as standard. GPS models are supplied with a GPS Screen Guard for extra peace of mind.
