Foresight Sports Europe has expanded its sale team in Europe with the appointment of Joonas Salonaho to grow the launch monitor and golf simulator manufacturer’s operations in Finland, and the arrival of Tom Duncan to strengthen the sales force in Germany.

Joonas’ previous experience includes time at Classic Golf and GolfPoint, where he built foundations in retail, golf simulation and custom fitting, adapting to the increasing demand for personalised golf experiences. More recently he was Business Manager & Partner at GoGolf, where he led initiatives in golf coaching, including managing winter training facilities. Prior to joining Foresight, Joonas served as Business Manager at indoor venue Golf Lounge, where he was responsible for driving business growth.

“From running stores and events to building top-notch training setups, I’ve always focused on creating great golf experiences. Now, I’m bringing that energy to Foresight, helping shape the future of the game,” said Salonaho. “I can’t wait to get started and am excited to introduce more Finnish golfers and industry professionals to the many advantages of our technology.”

Based in Munich, Tom Duncan bolsters Foresight’s presence in the German region following the appointment of Andrew Lee in March last year.

Tom has spent the past few years leading the Tom Duncan Performance Center in Southern Germany, where he developed a full-service Golf Academy featuring on-course training, winter programmes, and a state-of-the-art indoor performance studio powered by Foresight Sports technology. As a Mizuno Ambassador, he has also stayed at the forefront of equipment fitting and performance analytics.

Previously, Tom served as Senior Golf Instructor at GC Timmendorfer Strand, coaching players from novices to European Development and Pro Golf Tour levels and overseeing instructional standards across the academy team. His extensive playing career includes time on the EPD, Alps, and German PGA Tours, with notable achievements in player development.

“Having used Foresight technology myself for many years, the opportunity to join Foresight Sports Europe was an offer I simply couldn’t refuse, given its industry-leading position within the technology space.” said Tom. “I am delighted to be part of the team and look forward to showcasing Foresight Sports to even more golfers and professionals in Germany.”

Foresight Sports engineer, produce, supply, and install a range of industry-leading ground-based and over-head launch monitors used by tens of thousands of golf professionals, fitters, tour professionals, and consumers. The company’s products, including the GCQuad, GC3, and recently launched Falcon, QuadMAX, and GC3S, enable golf enthusiasts to enjoy their sport all year round and golf clubs to maximise their space efficiently to drive additional year-round revenues.

“With a track record of innovation and strategic business initiatives, Joonas has helped shape golf experiences in Finland for many years,” said Foresight Sports Europe’s EMEA Sales Manager, James Stewart. “As we continue our growth in the Nordic region, it was clear that a dedicated member of the sales team was needed in Finland, and Joonas is the ideal person to lead our sales initiatives and strengthen our presence there.”

He added: “With over two decades of experience as both a high-level coach and professional player across Europe, Tom brings a wealth of expertise and innovation to the role. Sales into Germany have increased dramatically since the introduction of a local member of the sales team, and the addition of Tom will help further accelerate this growth and satisfy the huge demand for our technology in the region.”
