Ballards Gore Golf & Country Club is located at Canewdon, due north of Southend on Sea. The Club is positioned in open countryside but is within easy reach of a substantial catchment population (over 200,000 within a 20-minute drive time). The property extends to approximately 50 hectares (123 acres) and comprises an 18 hole 6,874 yard (par 73) golf course, practice ground, practice facilities, golf shop and a substantial clubhouse.
Ballards Gore Golf & Country Club was developed by the current proprietors in 1978 and is being offered to the market as a retirement sale. Although the Club is a proprietary golf business, it is effectively operated as a private members’ golf club with approximately 488 members at present.

The Club enjoys a tranquil setting bordering Forestry Commission woodland and yet it is adjacent to the Arlington Whiteley & Solent Business Park at junction 9 of the M27 Motorway. CACI report a resident population in excess of 550,000 within a 20 minute drive time.
Fareham Woods Golf Club extends to approximately 45 hectares (110 acres) and comprises a 5,622 yard (par 70) golf course, a 512 sq m (5,500 sq ft) clubhouse, practice facilities and a Grade II listed greenkeepers’ barn. The golf course commenced trading in 1997 and was operated from temporary clubhouse accommodation until the new clubhouse was completed in Autumn 2000. Fareham Woods Golf Club is operated as a proprietary members club, with in excess of 600 members.
