Strutt & Parker’s Leisure and Hotels Department, acting on behalf of DC Hughes Ltd, has sold Teign Valley Golf and Hotel.
Following considerable investment, including newly constructed hotel accommodation, this attractive and well established course on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park attracted strong interest. The sale was concluded within three months of its launch in September 2008.
For Strutt & Parker Chris Gooch comments, “Despite the effects of the credit crunch the property generated the strong interest we expected due to its excellent condition and the significant potential to exploit the super hotel facilities.”
The new owners have exciting plans for the future including plans to grow the golf membership and reduce subscriptions.
The sale was concluded at close to the guide price of £1.6 million.
